The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Endeavor-NorthShore, the principal academic affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, is seeking an Anatomic Pathologist.

The successful candidate will sign out dermatopathology with the opportunity to participate in Surgical Pathology sign-out if desired. The department logs 14000 dermatopathology cases among 114,000 surgical pathology specimens annually. Additional responsibilities include teaching residents, medical students, and fellows. Certification by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology is required. Salary, title, and academic rank at the University of Chicago will be commensurate with experience.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine includes 28 full-time physicians and doctoral scientists in the Anatomic, Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology Divisions. Many of the Laboratories are centralized at Evanston Hospital and serve the legacy NorthShore system including Evanston, Highland Park, Glenbrook and Skokie hospitals. The Anatomic Pathology Division includes 20 faculty members, and operates using a semi-subspecialized model. Extensive molecular pathology services are available on-site. The Department sponsors a longstanding and successful ACGME-accredited AP/CP pathology residency program, fellowships in Women's Pathology and (with University of Chicago) in Medical Microbiology and Molecular Genetic Pathology, and a Medical technology school on site.
