The Team:The American Girl Retail team is integral in providing lifetime memories to American Girl fans and their families. Our experiential retail stores provide shopping destinations like no other. This requires Innovation, Collaboration, and Execution from all who are a part of this division. Our in-store experiences range depending on location from Girl and Doll Salons, Full-Service Restaurants, Personal Shopping, Ear Piercing (Girl and Doll), hosting Parties/Celebrations to name a few. Expect a dynamic and fast-paced role where you get to make decisions that impact the team as well as our customers.

The Opportunity:The Experience Associate (Doll Hair Stylist) is located at the AG Retail Flagship Chicago location and reports directly to the Assistant Salon Manager. This position is responsible for delivering friendly and informative salon services, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Approach, acknowledge, and assist customers promptly.
• Assess and meet customer merchandise and service needs, including special requests and resolving customer problems.
• Share product knowledge, answer questions, and suggestive upsell other Salon services and complementary products.
• Share information on store events, promotions, and activities, with customers.
• Style doll hair according to company standards and demonstrate proper hair care and skin care techniques.
• Conduct inventory of salon supplies and stock salon area and communicate replenishment needs when needed.
• Participate in Salon events including Salon Spectaculars, hair demos, and private birthday parties.
• Collaborates with co-workers to create a positive work environment and assists in training new associates.

What We're Looking For:

• Sales experience in the specialty retail or service industry preferred.
• Experience styling hair, especially for dolls, preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must be willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
