Who You'll Work With
As the IT Service Professional, you will work in our Chicago Tech hub and collaborate closely with Service Coordinators and the Advanced Workstation Support Team. This collaboration aims to ensure customer satisfaction and continuously seek improvement opportunities for efficient and best practices.
What You'll Do
You will be responsible for various tasks related to IT equipment setup, configuration, restore, and shipment. This role also involves managing warehousing and materials, including inventory monitoring, optimization, and replenishment.
You will configure equipment such as laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile devices using standard procedures. Additionally, you will handle the restoration of user data and applications, coordinate repairs and maintenance with external service providers, and perform purchasing activities. This role requires maintaining inventory management systems, optimizing sourcing and service processes, and handling packaging, labeling, and shipping of IT equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Setup, configure, restore, and ship IT equipment
  • Manage warehousing and materials, including inventory monitoring and optimization
  • Refill inventories as needed
  • Configure equipment (laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices) using standard procedures
  • Restore user data and applications using standard tools
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with external service providers
  • Perform purchasing activities, including obtaining offers, submitting orders, reviewing order confirmations, and tracking delivery deadlines
  • Maintain inventory management systems
  • Optimize existing sourcing and service processes
  • Update asset, warehouse, and ticket management systems
  • Package, label, and ship IT equipment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in configuring IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, etc.
  • Solid practical experience in purchasing and logistics
  • Strong technical IT skills, particularly in PC configuration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clear service orientation and careful approach to work
  • Sound judgment to assess situations correctly and prioritize tasks appropriately, even under pressure
  • Ability to work well in a team while being independent and self-motivated
  • Quick adaptability and flexibility in new situations
