Job Description
ARxIUM is looking to expand our high volume team with the addition of an Application Consultant. The position will work collaboratively with all functional areas within the ARxIUM organization with specific focus on supporting Sales. The successful candidate is expected to analyze and drive projects in the area of automation technology (outpatient central fill/mail order facilities); participate in cycle time and/or other improvement projects; facilitate systems integrations, central fill, supply chain and network designs; and perform data analytics on operational performance all in an effort to deliver the optimal solution and support our customer’s End-to-End business goals.

This position will be responsible for supporting the life cycle and strategic direction of ARxIUM solutions, providing voice of the customer, voice of the product and voice of the business input that will support the development of the product roadmap, product objectives, strategies and tactics to achieve ARxIUM revenue targets.

Essential Functions:
Academic and Professional Requirements:
  • University degree in System or Industrial Engineering.  Consideration will be given to candidates with a Business background and an expertise in Production or Operations Management
  • 5-7 years working in an Industrial Engineering/Operations Manager capacity in Health System and/or Logistics industry or management consulting
  • Experience in Supply Chain or Replenishment role is an asset
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred, pharmacy-specific highly desired
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Must be an analytical and innovative thinker with careful consideration for details
  • Must be proficient with Visio, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SQL
  • Must be familiar with AutoCAD, Tableau , working knowledge of process simulation modeling tools an asset (Arena, Simul8, etc.)
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification would be beneficial
  • Strong multi-functional business skills (finance, marketing, operations, etc.)
  • Ability to manage effective internal and external relationships
  • Strong verbal, written communications and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Provides solution-specific communications and updates to senior management as needed
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, queuing systems and capacity planning required
  • Basic understanding of product development, software, mechanical and electrical systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Acts as a high-level technical resource, confirming proposed customer configurations and assisting in identifying appropriate solutions as needed.
  • Participates in and in some cases leads RFP technical responses.
  • Demonstrates solution functionality to current and prospective customers during site visits, tradeshows, WebEx presentations, etc.
  • Acts as the internal contact for selected key accounts, as identified by the RVP and/or Executive Management team.
  • Travels on a periodic basis to participate in business reviews, gather feedback, address ongoing issues, etc.
  • Works closely with the Implementation and Support teams to ensure that efforts are consistent with customer expectations and business objectives; provides support and proactively manages product changes and modifications specific to key customer requests.
  • May be asked to be the Project Manager on selected projects.
  • Functions as key internal resource for knowledge transfer from Engineering to Sales team.

Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for updating the pricing tool for when needed, as well as validating pricing proposals submitted by Sales team(s).
  • Collaborates with the Sales team to gain key market intelligence, identifies emerging market opportunities and threats and advises Solution Lead on formulating an appropriate approach.
  • Provides customer requirements to the development team in support of the product roadmap.
  • Works with the Development team to help prioritize development activities, assisting in the removal of any obstacles and motivates the project teams to meet key milestones on time and on budget.
  • Helps identify beta partners for new releases and/or solutions.
  • In conjunction with the Sales Consultant, serves as a key contact for the system in terms of marketing and sales activities, as well as supporting development in obtaining product modifications required to meet revenue targets.
