Exude Confidence During Your Job Search
Share
Searching for a job can be brutal. It is a full time effort and considering that the average job search for an executive is 3-6 months, it can get exhausting, not to mention extremely stressful.

One of the most difficult parts about the job search is trying to appear strong and confident during each interaction along the way. You may be experiencing feelings of inadequacy and notice your level of confidence sinking with each day that passes without a job offer; however, this is exactly the time when you need to be projecting confidence in your skills and abilities and what you have to offer a potential employer. If you go on your 10th interview and you are having these feelings about yourself, the employee will know it and will respond in kind. Give yourself a pep talk before every interview and remind yourself every day that you are intelligent, hard-working, unique and have a great deal to offer an employer. There is nothing more attractive than confidence. Remember, if you got the interview, it is your job to lose. Think about how lucky they would be to have you. Don't make rejections bigger than they are. Think of them as opportunities and learn from each one. That company or that person had a reason for not hiring you and though it may be difficult to understand why, in the future when the right job comes along, it will be clear. The right job is out there and each step along the way will get you closer to finding it. Just keep your goals in mind and make sure every action you take is moving you closer to reaching it.
