Job Description
Summary of Position:
The RIVA Technician is responsible for assembling, testing and repairing electro-mechanical parts, assemblies, and equipment according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications, using hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and test equipment.
 
Essential Functions:
  1. Build new machines according to CGMP and FDA regulations
  2. Test and release new machines
  3. Refurbish machines
  4. Build and refurbish sub-assemblies
  5. Open and close work orders in BAAN
  6. Cross train new employees
  7. Participate in new product introductions
  8. Performs related duties as assigned, including working with MedSelect and OptiFill production
  9. Performs related duties as assigned.

  6. Computer hardware: Keyboards, mouse, scanners, touchscreens.

  8. Electronic troubleshooting equipment including multi-meters.
  9. Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
Education and Experience:
This position requires an associate degree in electrical engineering and one (1) to four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.  Previous job related experience and abilities may make it possible for the right candidate to be accepted for this job without the associates’ degree.

  1. Sedentary physical activity requiring reaching, sifting, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking and hearing.
  2. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  3. Visual requirement is for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  4. 50% or more time is spent looking directly at a computer.
  5. Associate is frequently required to stand, walk (or otherwise be mobile).
  6. Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise.
