Job Description
This position services the states of Delaware, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia

Summary of Position:

Promotes the use of and consultatively sells ARxIUM solutions to new and existing customers in the business segments within a specific geographic area. Promotes and delivers targeted programs and solutions in order to expand and retain existing business.  Prospects for new business and deliver presentations, proposals and finalize deals as it relates to new business and strategic accounts in order to contribute to increased profitable revenues and technology sales goals.

Essential Functions:
  1. Follow company’s sales process and executes consultative sales strategies based on existing customer’s business needs in order to achieve established business objectives.
  2. Develops and implements strategic sales plans to support corporate goals.
  3. Achieves annual unit quota goal in sales bookings in assigned territory
  4. Appropriately logs and forecasts all territory sales activities in SalesForce.com as required
  5. Works directly with Application Consultants to execute new business sales strategies, expansion and maintenance sales strategies, and using company solutions to address customer specific needs.
  6. Demonstrates initiative in their own professional development such as keeping abreast of the industry and its changes through the use of industry information and company literature.
  7. Participates in required sales training that will allow the ARxIUM sales force to continually maintain a consultative sales approach with all customers.
  8. Delivers professional presentations to existing and new customers
  9. Sales efforts will include calling on and presenting to pharmacy and health system executives (C-Suite), managers, operations staff, individual pharmacy owners, and at times pharmacy customer base such as nursing home administrators, nursing staff, and corrections officers.
  10. Represents ARxIUM at company and regional trade shows
  11. Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet sales objectives.
  12. Must be willing to travel extensively within selected geographic territory; travels to events such as conferences, national and regional sales meetings.
  13. May be required to complete and receive a passing score on defined certification course(s) as determined by senior health system sales management.
  14. Performs related duties as assigned.

Competencies:
  • Success in a previous Account executive role is an absolute must, and experience with Hospital Pharmacies and Automation would be a definite advantage

  • Working knowledge of strategic and consultative selling techniques, and related information
  • Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace.
  • Track record of driving results in pharmacy automation/capital equipment sales a plus. Must be familiar with capital equipment budgeting, purchasing, and leasing processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Computer skills: Baan ERP system, Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint, Office, Outlook, Visio, Excel, Project) Share Point
  • Ability to travel as needed

Education and Experience:
  • This position requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Requires five (5+) years directly related and progressively responsible experience, selling in the assigned territory and market.
  • Successful record with sales experience
  • Proven track record understanding and meeting quotas
