Summary of Position: The ERP Specialist will perform numerous data processing tasks with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Duties also include also design, develop, test, deploy and maintain Supply Chain processes used with the ERP systems.
Essential Functions:
Supervise the flow of inventory from manufacturers to warehouse to point of sale.
Acquire goods and services, by tendering or competitive bidding process.
Forecast, plan for and manage the demand for products
Track manufacturing output and match against customer orders that have been placed
Determining the requirements for raw materials, consumables, spare parts and all other materials that are required to meet the given production plan
Determine the production capacity needed to meet changing demands
Understand the availability and capacity of resources and allocate tasks to resources to maximize the efficiency of the resources
Maintain complete and accurate records within ERP system
Assign new component and assembly part numbers as required
Load new approved vendor listing information
Create and load bills of material into ERP
Modify bills of material as required
Work with Engineering to determine and apply material routing and attrition factors to bills of material
Analyze data and create reports
Competencies:
Understands the engineering changes and how they impact the facility
Understands material procurement, stock systems and inventory management
Demonstrated planning and task balancing skills
Effective organization skills for documentation and record keeping
Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
Follows procedures
Data entry with minimal amount of errors
Create standard and customized reports
Analyze report data and translate for end-users
Creates queries for data retrieval
Experience in production or lean manufacturing environments preferred
3rd party report writing software
Education and Experience: An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business administration, computer science, information technology, or a closely related field; and, one (1) year of full-time experience working with an ERP System application performing the duties stated above; and, have participated in the validation of an ERP application’s data and/or functionality; OR, six (6) months of full-time experience working as a member of an ERP application implementation and/or upgrade team.
