Job Description
The Canister Technician has knowledge of the process of calibrating canisters as well as the design of the canister parts as they relate to the size and shape of the drugs that are dispensed from them.  The Technician  will have expertise in every canister from building to determining the compatibility of drugs in each canister.  They will train new canister center employees to build and test canisters.  The Canister Technician will enter customer orders in the ERP system and communicate with the customer, answering questions or requesting additional information to complete their order.  When orders are completed, the technician will enter sales order, create a purchase order and invoice the order.

Essential Functions:
  • Operate hand tools to build equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair returned canisters
  • Calibrate canisters for daily orders and installations
  • Provide hands on job training to coworkers as needed.
  • Enter customer orders in the ERP system.
  • Communicate with customers on questions or issues with orders
  • Enter sales orders and purchase orders in the ERP system
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Requires completion of a high school diploma or general education degree; normally requires two (2) to four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
