Information Systems Administrator
Buffalo Grove, IL

Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for contributing to the service level improvement at ARxIUM by establishing a centralized point that users can contact to report problems or to address questions and requests relative to technology issues to limit work disruption within the organization.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for providing solutions in response to information technology inquiries.  If the issue is not easily identified, determine if the problem is related to user, software, or equipment and then assign the problem to the appropriate IT resource for resolution
  • Helping remote users with IT related problems using current technology like Teams, Zoom, and Quick Assist
  • Responsible for maintaining backup of computer systems and restores when necessary
  • Responsible for keeping up-to-date with and a working knowledge of IT equipment system software in order to effectively evaluate issues and problems
  • Responsible for imaging, roll out and maintenance of personal computers
  • Create, update and maintain documentation related to job 
  • Required to be on site in the Buffalo Grove, IL office with some ability to work remotely
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Competencies:
  • Knowledge of personal computer systems and peripherals, network servers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite of software including client and server OS as well as Office and other related software, VMware and Backup software such as Veeam.
  • Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize work load and mange daily help desk duties
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability and the motivation to solve problems

Education and Experience:
  • A graduate of a 2-year diploma in Computer Information and Systems Technology or a similar vocation or a combination of education and experience will be acceptable
  • 3 – 5 years of previous experience in a help desk environment, with experience in network infrastructure, computer repair and customer service are required.
