What we are looking for:
Knowledge and passion for emerging technologies (Api's, Big Data, Native UI's) and how they are used to empower developers and businesses to deliver great products
Deep understanding of Capital One's technical architecture and data ecosystem
Grounding in human centered design with a natural empathy for internal users
You have a bias to action and a proven track record of delivering minimum viable products and business models to market at rapid speed
You have a high level of intellectual curiosity and are comfortable with ambiguity
You are a fantastic storyteller and are at ease presenting to senior executives
What you'll do:
Lead a team of software and data engineers to design and deliver data platform features for internal users
Understand the enterprise data requirements and ensure compliance of the system with enterprise patterns
Create a long term vision for your capability and a roadmap that acts both as a learning agenda and a delivery plan for achievement that vision
Partner with analysts, data scientists, designers, engineers, and others to continuously refine the vision and roadmap, and to harvest insights from experiments and product/feature launches
Work hand in hand with your engineering colleagues to design and operate sustainable, well-crafted software
Be a critical leader in a large team of product and analytical peers who are collaborating to build breakthrough capabilities that will fuel the growth of Small Business Card.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 3 years experience translating business strategy and analysis into software products
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as product owner for data intensive applications
- 2+ years experience in business analysis or data science/statistics
