StandardAero is seeking a motivated, eager, and innovative student looking to join our Facilities Engineering Team for the 2024 summer term.

We are looking for a total of 1 Intern for the Summer of 2024.

As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.

Over the course of your 10-12 week internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with existing facilities project engineering teams to support the company wide GreenERmro environmental initiative in San Antonio, TX.
  • Students will work with experienced engineers on project types that involve environmental cost savings, carbon reduction, lighting controls, compressed air systems, building ventilation & efficiencies, heated tanks, and water reduction.

Job Duties:

The ideal candidate may be involved in one or many of the following:

  • Calculating cost savings from implementing change methods.
  • Finding opportunities and creating new continuous improvement projects
  • Researching innovative methods of capturing environmental efficiencies and cost savings
  • Ensuring site wide compliance of federal, state and local environmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in creating and updating internal environmental policies.
  • Other projects as assigned.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • College student over 18 years old.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products, to include Excel, Project, and Word
  • Environmental Engineering background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be US Citizen due to government contracts


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Some education in or practical experience in the application of process improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong desire to learn and be a contributing member of a team
  • Strong self-motivation and organization skills


Internship Details:

  • The internship term will be - Summer 2024 (beginning mid-May)
  • The length of the internship is 10-12 weeks
  • Located in San Antonio, TX; **students must have own lodging.
  • 1 internship slot available
