The Pricing analyst position is responsible for analyzing and pricing strategies to maximize revenue as a part of the Revenue Management organization. While this is a relatively new discipline within the highly competitive parking industry, it is becoming a critical one as new channels emerge for distribution and automotive technologies rapidly evolve.

We are looking for team members who are analytical, creative, and innovative but most importantly can harness data to drive decisions. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an in-depth understanding of the marketplace and develop pricing strategies to increase revenues and drive a competitive advantage for SP+.

This role will report to the Senior Manager, Revenue Management.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenues by developing and implementing proactive pricing and inventory strategies through quantitative analysis of historical demand, competitive environment, and consumer behavior
  • Identify and analyze market trends, determine appropriate pricing actions, and post-audit assessment of actions
  • Develop a working relationship with the local ops teams to better understand the nuances of each location/market
  • Support the local ops teams with all pricing decisions as well as local business development teams in evaluating new opportunities
  • Build knowledge of the digital ecosystem (distribution channels) and understand the impact of pricing actions within the ecosystem on demand

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or advanced degree with significant coursework or experience in a quantitative discipline (economics, mathematics, engineering, operations research, statistics, decision science, etc.)
  • 2+ years related pricing experience. Travel experience (airline, hotel, rental car and/or cruise line) is preferred
  • Ability to query data (i.e. SQL)
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to assemble information, extract pertinent facts, draw logical conclusions and present recommendations
  • Ability to leverage understanding of business processes to identify and implement solutions that will result in significant bottom-line contributions
  • Understand intuition behind the numbers/data (i.e. does it make sense?)
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with working team
  • Interest in problem solving, game theory, and consumer behavior
