Job Description Summary | Adjunct Instructor, College of Education and Social Sciences, Department of Education, needed to teach courses and/or provide site supervision in the areas of general secondary/middle education methods and specific content area (e.g., language arts) methods. Certain assignments may include supervision candidates in field experiences and/or clinical practice. Personal transportation is required. |

Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. Responsible to model, teach and promote the unit standards for the Department of Education as a critical transformative educator, a multicultural educator and a social justice advocate. -To teach one or more classes in the Department of Education at any one of the Lewis university sites and/or online -Availability to hold office hours and meet with other faculty members and department chairs or directors when necessary |
Minimum Qualifications | Terminal degree preferred, master's degree considered. Illinois Professional Educator's License - Spanish Education, Secondary Education and/or Middle Grade Education. Experienced in using technologies such as Learning Management Systems (Blackboard) as well as Data Management Systems. Previous teaching experience at the middle and/or secondary levels required. |
