Job Description

This position will be responsible for managing large and complex projects with tight deadlines. The goal of the project is to identify low cost suppliers of various manufacturing processes used in the manufacture bearings and seals used in the aerospace industry; and to shift a portion of production to these low-cost suppliers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage a key strategic project in Rexnord's aerospace sector
  • Create and manage a detailed project plan with key milestones and deliverables with weekly & monthly report outs
  • Report out at regular intervals and ad hoc to provide updates to senior leaders
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and influence as appropriate to drive decisions
  • Manage and direct the work of a cross-functional team
  • Accountable for delivering the project on time and within budget

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience managing large scale, multi-dimensional, and complex projects
  • Previous experience in leading major projects with success in meeting project deadlines and achieving financial targets
  • At least three years of experience working in a metal machining plant environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Experience aligning and managing direct and cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in resource utilization
  • Minimum of five years managing cross functional projects with successful results
  • Previous experience collaboratively creating and managing to budgets
  • Previous experience creating complex project plans, that span multiple periods (versus short term duration single objective process/project improvements) to include project deadlines and timelines and achieving them
  • Experience with quality systems: e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485 or TS16949 a plus
  • Experience working with non-U.S. cultures and countries-preferred
  • Proficient administrative, communication, computer, and analytic skills including writing and presentations to all levels of management (MS Office Suite)
  • 25% to 50% travel required as project timeline dictates (including international)
