What We Need:

We are looking for a Director of Global Accounts to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.

As Director of Global Accounts, you will manage the promotion of the HNI portfolio of products and services throughout North America. Working in tandem with our international teams and partners to secure and support our global customers. You will lead a national sales team and rive strategy for our customers. Inclusive of all partnerships with our brands, dealers (trade partners), and influencer communities required to secure and win with global customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Coach throughout the strategic sales process. Lead through ideas, solutions and process enhancement for our customers based on the broad lens of a director.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with dealers, sales members, influencers, and customers.
  • Coach sales team and build high performing team, through continued education, sharing of best practices and celebration of key success.
  • Oversee the account strategy implementation through Salesforce with task metrics as the process moves throughout the sales stages.
  • Lead team in growth of new business through strategic account pursuit.
  • Maintain and complete team reporting through Salesforce, for fundamental understanding of why the process is beneficial. Seek to continually offer your team the lens of "why" processes are asked to gain better adoption and understanding of the team to support the organization.
  • Develop sales goals and responsibilities as part of the annual goal/review (POA) process.
  • Build brand awareness in the market through engagement in industry events, social media, and key dealer activities.
  • Lead and/or attend events to display best in class actions for your team to emulate.
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field required. MBA and professional certification strongly preferred.
  • At least ten years of demonstrated success in strategic sales with a strong record of success on strategic accounts.
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership or coaching sales professionals.
  • Experience in the office furniture industry required.
  • Experience in the dealer unction within the office furniture industry, preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of time.

  • Demonstrated success in leading sales teams in a fast-paced environment to be successful with high energy and a results-oriented leadership style.
  • Ability to navigate complex, difficult situations skillfully.
  • Strong decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Current working knowledge of the industry and the willingness to maintain your knowledge.
