Job Purpose and Duties

Dana, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Associate in our Manufacturing Facility in Robinson, IL with our Power Technologies group.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interface professionally with customers and sales personnel on quotations, pricing, and documentation
  • Interface professionally with engineering and CAD department.
  • Develop bills of material, process routings, packaging methods and all other required documentation for production
  • Estimate tooling and material costs for new products and packaging
  • Order tooling both internal and external.
  • Interface with external and internal tool shop to maintain existing tooling
  • Maintain packaging labeling software and equipment to support customer label specifications
  • Interpret customer drawings, bills of material, and other documentation to develop cost quotations for new products, packaging, and engineering changes using in-house quoting software and programs
  • Work with shop personnel on a daily basis for implementing process and methods improvements
  • Develop reports and programs to support engineering and shop floor activities
  • Issue PPAP work orders to start process for new parts or process changes
Education and Experience

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience preferred in engineering or quality in an automotive or other manufacturing environment
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school is preferred; will consider combination of education and relevant experience

    Required Skills:
  • Computer skills in Excel, Word and Lotus Notes required. Working knowledge ofMainframe Database MRP systems, Access and Adobe Acrobat a plus
  • Basic knowledge of part drawing dimensioning and interpretation of specifications
  • Speed, accuracy, and thoroughness required in a detail oriented multi-tasking environment
  • Excellent math skills and knowledge of both metric and English measurement systems
  • Must have excellent people and communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and CAD Cam CNC software a plus.
