UIC is seeking a part-time Research Nurse to join our College of Medicine Colbeth Child Psychiatric Clinic team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, plan and implement clinical research protocols for the UIC Clinical Services in Psychopharmacology Program evaluating the safety and effectiveness of psychopharmacotherapy for the treatment of emotional and behavioral disturbances of minors who in the care of the State of Illinois.
  • Working closely with the Associate Director and the research team, in aligning activities, goals and resources to meet study objectives and quality control.
  • Oversees the work of the research staff to help ensure the contractual needs of the research and project deliverables are met.
  • Effectively share expertise with team and contacts in the field of the studies policies and procedures and the latest research in psychopharmacological treatment of children and adults.
  • Complete required documentation for agency partners.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned


Minimum Qualifications Required:

  1. Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
  2. One year of work experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  3. Demonstrated experience in inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or general pediatric nursing with knowledge of psychopharmacology.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in nursing.
  • Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry and research.
  • Understands basic database applications and has computer skills.
  • Knowledge of pediatric psychopharmacology.
