Combat Systems Team Lead-Non-Aegis
Position is Contingent upon Contract Award
Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Combat Systems Team Lead-Non-Aegis who will be key in providing support to the government Customer.
  • Location Norfolk, VA.
Job Description:
  • Responsible for possessing an in-depth knowledge of techniques, tactics, and procedures regarding tactical maneuvering, expert level knowledge of major combat systems for AEGIS/non-AEGIS ship classes to include:
    • ACDS/SSDS MK1/2
    • Organic (own ship) weapons capabilities/employment
    • RADAR
    • Electronic Counter Measures
    • Navigation
    • Sonar
    • Communications
    • Ship's sensors
    • Weapons release authority
    • Rules of engagement, and therefore shall demonstrate experience in these areas.
  • Provide technical support by reviewing changes and participating in Working Groups as needed.
  • Provide integration and validation support of integrated systems.
  • Program management support for program lifecycle cost, program planning, schedule, and risk management.
  • Support all elements of the systems engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 20 years of related experience.
  • Must have at least 20 yrs. of experience and shall have demonstrated relevant experience within the past 3 years.
  • Must be qualified Surface Warfare Officers/Line Officers or Limited Duty/Chief Warrant Officers (i.e., System Test Officers (STO), Operations Technical Officers (OPSTECH).
  • Must have served at least two tours as a shipboard TAO on either AEGIS or Non-AEGIS ships.
  • Must have been designated as a shipboard Tactical Action Officer (TAO) and have completed the Navy's Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS) NAVEDTRA 43304-Series.
Security Requirements:
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance or an Interim Secret clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel required. 25%
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia)

Pay Range: $88,000 - $115,000 per year
