Senior Combat Systems (C5I) Team Lead

Position is Contingent upon Contract Award

Purpose:

Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Senior Combat Systems (C5I) Team Lead who will be key in providing support to the government Customer.
Location Norfolk, VA.

Job Description:

Advise Commanding Officers, Department Heads, and their crews on what to expect, how to prepare, and what is required to achieve class average or higher during a READ-E and INSURV Inspections (Material Inspection, Final Contract Trial).
Provide technical support by reviewing changes and participating in Working Groups as needed.
Program management support for program lifecycle cost, program planning, schedule, and risk management.
Support all elements of the systems engineering.

Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 25 years of related experience.
Must have at least 25 years of U.S. Navy experience with senior combat systems department leadership.
Must be a prior U.S. Naval Officer (Surface Warfare Officer/Limited Duty/Chief Warrant Officers).
Must have been a former Combat Systems Officers or Systems Testing Officer with two shipboard tours and at least one on an AEGIS ship with BMD capability.
Must have Additional Qualification Designators (AQDs) for AEGIS, Tactical Action Officer (TAO) within the past 3 years.

Desired Qualifications:

Preferred 25 years of Navy experience in a specific area of specialty.
Experience as a Senior Combat Systems Inspector for the U.S. Navy Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) preferred.
Experience as a Weapons / Combat Systems inspector at the Afloat Training Group or TYCOM staff focusing on Pre-INSURV preparations preferred.
Experience on Major Command Staff (DESRON, ESG, PHIBRON) or Fleet/TYCOM Staff preferred.

Security Requirements:

Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance or an Interim Secret clearance.

Travel Requirements:

Travel required. 25%

Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Communicating with others to exchange information and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia)

Pay Range: $88,000 - $115,000 per year
