Overview

Job Purpose

ICE Clear Credit (ICC), a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., is looking for a Risk Technical Project Manager for the Risk Management department who is responsible in designing, developing, and supporting Production Risk Systems to help manage the risk exposure for the world's largest Clearing House for Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and its derivatives. The Project Management Analyst will be responsible in supporting the successful execution of highly complex programs that consist of multiple projects. The Project Manager is responsible for helping meet key performance objectives, help manage issues to resolution, help manage project risks, help manage program scope changes effectively, and help ensure that the work completed adheres to all company and department standards and processes. The Project Manager must be highly self-motivated, results-oriented, very meticulous in details and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires frequent interaction with business stakeholders, developers, quantitative analysts, risk managers, system operations and infrastructure teams to ensure the delivery of quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple complex projects within a program or several unrelated projects.
  • Help determine and negotiate project goals and priorities with stakeholders and sponsors, establish and publish clear project priorities for the team, and help prepare project plans along with other deliverables.
  • Help set, track, and report release planning milestones through full life cycle of a project, from inception through release including.
    • Identify, document, and escalate project risks and issues to sponsors and stakeholders.
    • Develop, measure, and monitor project plans and schedules.
    • Monitor key deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
    • Help ensure resource availability and allocation.
    • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope and schedule.
    • Help plan and run stakeholder meetings.
    • Manage Change Control and JIRA processes.
    • Help measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
    • Ensure all reporting tools reflect correct state and status of release.
    • Ensure project stakeholders are informed of progress and issues.
    • Communicate project status to stakeholders to ensure that project priorities and status are understood.
    • Help create implementation plans for deployments and track through completion.
  • Maintain and ensure communication lines across various technology teams e.g., DBA, Sys Ops, Development, regarding on-going projects and timelines with impact to Risk Management Systems.
  • Actively participate in strategic planning discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge And Experience

  • Must be highly engaged, assertive, entrepreneurial in spirit with respect for processes, accountability, and decision traceability as well as aspire towards leadership.
  • 2+ years plus of experience in a project management role involving iterative software development methodologies with emphasizes on rapid delivery and collaboration(e.g., SCRUM, XP, , RUP or more generally Agile Project Management)
  • Experience working with stakeholders to identify and address issues related to planning, framing key decisions, and facilitating prioritization of initiatives.
  • The candidate needs to exhibit good business judgment, the ability to direct and critique the work of others while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
  • JIRA strong knowledge and experience is required.
  • Demonstrates disciplined change control procedures to ensure scope fluctuations are handled correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with rapidly changing priorities, requirements, and timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets is preferred.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
