The Salvation Army Family Store in Quincy is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Store Workers at our thriving thrift store.

Hours: 19-25 hours weekly

Schedule: Flexible hours (varied shifts including weekdays, evenings, and weekends)

Rate of Pay: $14.00/hour

Responsibilities:

As a Store Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Quincy Family Store. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting customers with their inquiries, providing exceptional service, and creating a positive shopping experience.
  • Sorting, organizing, and pricing donated items to maintain a clean and well-presented sales floor.
  • Restocking shelves and maintaining product displays to optimize sales potential.
  • Operating the cash register and accurately handling transactions.
  • Supporting loss prevention efforts and ensuring the security of merchandise.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.

These services are supported through generous donations and revenue from the Hannibal and Quincy Family Stores.
