Summary: Provides technical support and assistance to users with PC hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting, installation, and training, ensuring high customer satisfaction and adherence to organizational IT standards.

This non-exempt position will report to the Senior Manager Technical Infrastructure in the Division of Information Technology. It is based in our Chicago office and will require being in the office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual assistance to users by troubleshooting PC Hardware and Software Problems including Windows operating systems, Office365, Active Directory, standard workstation software, SaaS, internet, and network connections.

  • Work with business departments to set up, install and upgrade computer technology and mobile tools.

  • Research, resolve, respond to, and document technical issues. Including monitoring alerts and ticketing systems.

  • Create training materials and process documentation for end users; provide individual and/or group training to customers as needed.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Capacity for continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies.

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar service support role, demonstrating technical expertise working with a variety of hardware and software, including Microsoft 365, alongside basic knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online and Active Directory.

  • ITIL Foundation v.4 certification or the ability to acquire one within six months of employment is required. Microsoft certifications are highly regarded but not required.

  • Knowledge of standard workstation software and Apple products is helpful.

  • Strong working knowledge in an environment that uses Microsoft products and platforms extensively (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, operating as a strong team partner.

  • Experience in supporting AV equipment is helpful, including occasional after-hours support.
