LSSI is hiring afull-timeRegional Trainer MondaythroughFriday.The Regional Trainer works in conjunction with other Regional Trainers to offer educational trainings to the Children's Community Services (CCS) Staff, as well as local foster parents. In addition to training, the Regional Trainer also helps maintain accurate files and continuously tracks data. This position will cover the Central and Southern Regions.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and facilitate in-person support/assistance to programs to ensure staff training needs are met and collaborate with other regional trainers to ensure a cohesive training system is being provide to the CCS program.
  • Develop and facilitate in-person support/assistance to programs to ensure foster parent training needs are met and collaborate with other regional trainers to ensure a cohesive training system is being provide to the CCS program.
  • Conduct program-wide training needs assessment and identify skill or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed for designated coverage area.
  • Participate in the training and staff development organization-wide initiatives.
  • Work in conjunction with staff to address local development needs of foster parents to support the CCS Network efforts toward development and implementation of a foster parent recruitment and retention model.
  • Keep accurate, organized training records and monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data reports to assist with agency-wide training efforts.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related human services field required.
  • Master's degree in social work or related human services field preferred.
  • Child Welfare Employee Licensure (CWEL) preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in human or social services or other related field required.
  • Experience interacting positively and professionally with internal and external resources required.
  • Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time and deliver results on time.
  • Experience assessing, interpreting, thinking critically and creatively to employ effective problem solving to the organization's challenges preferred.
  • Must possess a high degree of organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities including the aptitude to prioritize multiple functions and tasks.
  • General understanding of the social services landscape in Illinois, such as Foster Care System, Human Services, and Medicaid, etc. preferred.
  • Ability to use and/or adapt to and learn technology-based tools such as pc/computers, software, and applications, including HER's and social media, collaborative applications, and other job-related tools as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and in writing.
  • Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
