BOA-ITBA-IV-V-1 Description Global Banking Technology are looking to recruit a Business Analyst/Product Owner to join their Data Analytics team. The successful candidate will help form the vision, roadmap and goals for the application/projects they will be aligned to, working with business stakeholders and development teams globally, to deliver robust and sustainable business software solutions using agile techniques. They will also be responsible for ensuring requirements are appropriately understood, documented, owned, and actioned. Educational Requirements Bachelor s Degree in Information/Computer Science or related field Certification in Project Management/Business Analysis/Agile methodologies Responsibilities Include Play a key role in collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and problems, and in cross-referencing business and functional requirements ensuring expectations are clearly understood and satisfied. Work in partnership with the wider product team to create, prioritize and refine features and user stories from the product backlog for the scrum team, utilizing applicable artefacts and by ensuring there are enough ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints. Partner with business stakeholders and the scrum team to ensure user stories are delivered in line with business requirements. Participate in and support capacity planning as well as the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with business stakeholders and technology management. Collaborate with technology team members, end users, and other stakeholders in the testing of new software programs and applications, including the coordination of UAT. Review, analyze, and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and features as well as develop testing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems. Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, and end users. Work diligently to ensure optimum value is obtained by enhancing or improving business processes via integration, or as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes. Required Skills Past experience: Candidate must have 7 years experience working as a product owner/business analyst on technical programs and projects in large complex fast-paced environments. Excellent analytical and project management skills: Candidate must have a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements using agile principles and techniques. Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills: Candidate must have the ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications interacting professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Technical capabilities: Candidate must be versed in technical concepts to be able to understand implementation details, including working knowledge of relational databases as well as have moderate SQL skills to self-sufficiently query and analyses data. Development background is a plus. Excellent written communication skills and spoken English: Candidate must be able to package complex concepts into simple and easy to understand presentations for socialization with business stakeholders and technology management. Demonstrate self-motivation: Candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently: Candidate can manage time sensitive issues, prioritize multiple workstreams and projects concurrently and articulate thought process for decision-making without comprising quality. Working posture: Candidate should have the ability to work in a hybrid environment. Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint Desired Skills Prior experience of working in the financial services industry.
