Job Description
Job Title: IT Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Lead - Information Security Applications
Location: Chicago, IL 60604 - Anchor Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday
Duration: 2 Months plus

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans specific to information security applications.
  • Lead risk assessments to identify potential threats to the availability and integrity of security applications and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between information security, BC/DR, and overall IT strategies.
  • Conduct regular testing and simulations of BC/DR plans to validate their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain documentation for BC/DR procedures, including clear escalation paths and communication plans.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) for information security applications.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to ensure that relevant teams are well-prepared to execute BC/DR plans when needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in BC/DR and information security.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT BC/DR Lead, with a focus on information security applications.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing BC/DR plans for complex IT environments, specifically addressing security applications.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards related to BC/DR and information security.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex BC/DR concepts and requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or similar are highly desirable.
