Description

The Officer-PUBLIC SFTY reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Patrols assigned areas of hospital properties, enforces and maintains visitor control, investigates all complaints of a security and safety nature, escorts employees and visitors as needed,monitors the hospital's alarm systems and closed circuit television (CCTV) screens when needed, dispatches Public Safety staff as needed and/or notifies appropriate hospital personnel as necessary. Actively promotes a safe and secure environment for everyone.

This position is part-time, 40 hours per pay period, rotating shiftswith alternating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

High school graduate with some college preferred. Previous health care security experience preferred. Strong public relations skills and communication required. Familiarity with CCTV and radio operations preferred.

Must be certified by the International Association for HealthCare Security and Safety (IAHSS) 40 hours Basic HealthCare Security Officer Course within 6 months of hire, must keep certification up to date.

Supervisory level certification from the IAHSS preferred.Basic computer skill including but not limited to keyboarding, printing and saving information required.
