Position Summary | The primary purpose of the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach is to play an integral role in the effective operation of the men's and women's tennis program, develop young men and women in the North Central College tennis philosophy, to direct aspects of the overall tennis program strategy including development and retaining student-athletes. The head tennis coach will also work with the Director and Assistant/Associate Directors of Athletics helping further develop, implement, and evaluate components of departmental athletic events and leadership programs. |

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
An individual in this position must possess the proficiency, wherewithal and knowledge of principles and processes for providing high-quality service to both internal and external constituents of the College. |
Distinguishing Characteristics | The head tennis coach must be able to effectively coach, recruit, travel, operate within fiscal boundaries, develop and maintain relationships with student-athletes, parents, fans, and campus faculty/staff. The head coach must also be able to creatively and effectively develop strategies and programming that will allow student athletes to reach their full potential in tennis and as students. |
Education/Training | Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. |
Experience | Progressive coaching experience, including two-five years as a head/assistant coach or equivalent applicable experience. |
Licenses or Certifications | Valid Illinois Driver's License and acceptable driving record is required. |
