Job Description: As the Director of Trade Relations at Meitheal Pharmaceuticals, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic selling and business development initiatives, focusing on fostering relationships with wholesaler distribution partners such as Cencora and Cardinal Health. Reporting to the Senior Director of Trade Relations, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to expand contractual relationships, identify private label opportunities, and drive sales growth within the specialty care market segment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Expanding contract positions on Wholesaler Source contracts through strategic selling practices to achieve corporate goals.
  • Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities with existing product lines and new product launches for private label items offered by wholesale partners.
  • Overseeing all pricing requests from wholesale customers and providing pricing recommendations based on analysis and feedback.
  • Collaborating with Contract Marketing to prepare contract documents for wholesaler customers and submitting proposals directly or through data portals.
  • Providing feedback to the Meitheal team on contract awards and tracking rebid timing for lost awards.
  • Preparing customer presentations for monthly business reviews with wholesaler partners.
  • Working with Supply Chain to provide dispatch information on private label items and tracking customer volumes.
  • Ensuring contract compliance for all wholesale source agreements and coordinating contract revisions or amendments with the Legal Team as needed.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Required:

  • Attention to detail and ability to work individually and within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • High energy, self-starter with leadership skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.
  • 3-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in generic injectables with strong negotiation, sales, contract management, and analytical skills.

Preferred:

  • Proven track record of closing large, complex sales opportunities.
  • Trade and channel distribution related experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in establishing wholesaler distribution partnerships highly preferred.

Travel: 30 - 40% domestic and/or international travel required, including travel to the Corporate Office as necessary for corporate meetings.
