Job Summary:

The North America Compression Systems & Services (CSS) business unit has an opportunity for an Oil Free Compressor, Product Manager. This role will report into the Product Management & Sales Enablement organization, specifically reporting to the Oil Free & Oil Lubricated Portfolio Leader. The Oil Free Compressor Product Manager holds a pivotal role and is focused on driving profitable growth for this very critical category. Furthermore, they are responsible for channel engagement, strategy development, roadmap creation and cultivation, new product introduction, channel engagement and lifecycle management for the Gardner Denver brand Oil Free Rotary and Scroll products.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales and channel leadership to build product competencies and drive product adoption.
  • Own and manage strategy, roadmaps, business cases, and value proposition.
  • Analyze market trends, technology trends, competitive products developments, and other potential impact to the portfolio.
  • Manage transactional price discount requests while meeting or exceeding margin and price realization targets.
  • Conduct voice of customer activities to identify business, customer, and user needs based on customer account reviews, stakeholder interviews, and sales channel partner surveys. Represent the needs of end customers in all business activities.
  • Partner with Marketing and Demand Generation teams to optimize qualified lead inflow and vertical market focus. Drive customer satisfaction through continuous improvements to operational excellence, including product quality & on-time shipment.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to execute product development, integration, and commercialization plans to deliver on business case. Lead lifecycle management of existing compressor platforms to support completes and aftermarket sales.
  • Prepare sales forecasts for use in planning manufacturing operations, phase-in and phase-out and controlling inventories. Create and maintain training programs, sales aides, and product literature for customers and distribution partners.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific or Engineering) with related experience required. MBA desired.
  • 7+ years of work experience required. Experience within industrial B2B markets desired.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience working with customers and working with phase gate product execution.
  • Experience working in a sales capacity or with a sales channel is a plus.
  • Excellent Presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines. Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority.



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

  • This role is located onsite in Quincy, IL or Mocksville, NC.
  • Travel up to 25% is required.

The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
