Overview

The Director, Global Talent Management Processes will partner with the VP of HR, Talent Management in defining and implementing a common global approach to Talent Management, including succession planning, the performance appraisal process, leadership development, etc. This role will share enterprise best practices, processes, and tools with regional TM teams across the globe to build strong leadership and top talent pipelines for the future to maximize business performance, engagement, retention and sustainability, while leading efforts to ensure standardization and compliance of all talent management processes. The Director will be responsible for oversight over our Americas talent analytics to measure the strength of our talent and uncover opportunities to improve our ongoing talent strategy. The Director will also play a lead role for TM in large-scale and/or enterprise-wide projects, including system RFPs/implementations, M&A integration, etc. In addition, this role will work closely with other global leads in Training, Talent Acquisition, HR Programs, and Total Rewards to ensure change management processes and communication for items that touch AIT talent are effectively rolled out.

Responsibilities
    Responsible for oversight of the annual performance review process and 360 feedback globally, instituting best practices, tools, and training. Engage with HRBPs in understanding the performance management process and equip them with the skills they need to facilitate calibration sessions with their dedicated regions, evaluate year-end results and develop course of action for implementation of teammate development programs (IDPs) and further training.
  • Serve as lead POC for Talent Management for large-scale and/or enterprise-wide projects, to include working with leads in other HR and/or functional areas as applicable on defining project scope, outlining requirements for RFPs, evaluating vendors, system testing, and M&A integration work (including updating Talent Management sections of the M&A playbook as applicable, defining change management processes, creating and executing communication plans, etc.).
  • Assemble a strong set of talent analytics and KPIs to evaluate strength of talent and areas of focus to support development of the overall talent strategy to help regions and departments better understand their strengths and vulnerabilities. Engage with HRBPs on understanding their talent analytics and best ways to engage the business in driving change within their assigned client groups.
  • Create framework for global succession planning process and talent reviews, providing oversight, direction, and training to HRBPs. Manage the process for Americas succession planning.
  • Partner with the VP of HR on setting objectives evaluating mid-year performance, calibrating annual performance, and evaluating year-end reviews. Provide leadership overview of annual performance management results and corporate MBO attainment.
  • Provide oversight of key global compliance documents, including handbook and code of conduct. Ensures baseline "global handbook" is regularly maintained, providing the foundation on which region or country-specific additions to the global handbook are based. Ensures North America regional handbook is maintained. Partners with key stakeholders as necessary to ensure best practices in other functions (i.e., EH&S, Sustainability, etc.) that should be included in these documents are incorporated and updated regularly.
  • Design trainings and communication plan to engage HRBPs in understanding the talent management approach/strategy and equip them with the skills they need to facilitate talent discussions and action strategies with their assigned client groups.
  • Work closely with other global leads in Training, Recruiting, Total Rewards, and HR Programs to ensure change management processes and communication for items that touch AIT talent are effectively rolled out. Lead the training sessions with HRBPs to ensure a mutual understanding of timelines, responsibilities, and roll-outs within their respective client groups.
  • Partner with the HR Program Manager in effective roll-out of the annual AIT Core Value Index survey. Define the communication strategy, timeline, and roll-out for America. Engage with HRBPs to understand next steps and strategies to drive positive change within each market.
  • Identify and support critical business change programs and process improvements. Partner with VP of HR and CHRO on best way to manage change, communication, and training across the enterprise.
  • Assist in creating a community of practice for HRBPs and HR leaders to share best practices, drive efficiencies, and improve HR consultancy skills around organizational development and change management.
Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, business, or related field Required or
  • Master's Degree in HR, business, or related field Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 7+ years HR experience in a HR Business Partner or Talent Management COE capacity Required and
  • 3+ years experience leading a Talent Management COE Preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.) and PowerPoint. (High proficiency)
  • Have an eye for spotting talent and understanding trends within human capital/workplace design. (High proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP Preferred and
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP Preferred
